💻Setup Wallet
To use ArbiDex, you will need an external wallet compatible with the Arbitrum One network, such as MetaMask. Ensure that you download the latest version of the wallet from an official source and follow the instructions carefully during the setup process. It is crucial to back up your recovery phrases safely and avoid sharing them with anyone. Additionally, never enter your recovery phrases into any website or app other than your wallet.
Follow these steps to set up a MetaMask wallet on your web browser:
Visit the MetaMask website and click "Install MetaMask" to start the installation process, which is available on various browsers and devices that support iOS or Android.
Once downloaded, click "Add to browser" in the top right corner and continue with "Add Extension" to complete the installation. The fox logo appearing in the top right corner of your browser indicates the successful installation of MetaMask.
To use MetaMask, create a wallet to store your cryptocurrencies. Click on the MetaMask logo in the top right corner, agree to the terms and conditions, create a password, and click "Create" to generate your wallet. A file containing 12 seed words will appear. Save them in a secure location, and never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone. Your seed phrase is the only way to recover your account in case you forget your password or lose your device, so it is recommended to make multiple copies on paper for safekeeping.
After storing your seed words file, click "I've Copied It Somewhere Safe". By default, your MetaMask wallet is set to the Ethereum mainnet network.
To use ArbiDex, switch to the Arbitrum One network from the default Ethereum mainnet. Open your wallet, click on your current chain, followed by "Add network" at the bottom of the list. Enter the necessary details for the Arbitrum One network:
Arbitrum RPC:
Network name: Arbitrum One
RPC URL: https://arb1.arbitrum.io/rpc
Chain ID: 42161
Currency symbol: ETH
Block Explorer URL: https://arbiscan.io/
Alternatively, use Chainlist.org to add the Arbitrum One chain to your MetaMask account by connecting your wallet to the website and clicking "Add to Metamask" after searching for Arbitrum One.
